STRENGTH:Back Squat 5x1< 1 yr., 5x2< 6 mo., 5x3
ASSISTANCE:Good Mornings 3x10
BS: flat sets at 185x5x3. tried 195 and bailed out on 2nd rep.need to make sure warmer next time before jumping into work sets. silly impatience.
BS: 1RM 265lb (PR +0). Same weight as last March, but depth is much improved.
Good mornings: at 85lb, trying to feel a good stretch in the hamstrings.
Back squat: 115X2, PR! Went down to 105 for my last set, still working on getting low, keeping the chest up, knees out. Worked with new Elements grad Kaylee (sp?) and had an awesome time.
Good mornings: 3X10, 33, 45, 45.
BS 5x2 ascended to 140#-- tweaked shoulder that had been bothering me during back squats last couple weeks finally starting to feel better
Good Mornings 3x10 45#
back squats 5x1, hit my 1rm of 305lbs
good mornings 3x10 95-135-155lbs
5x3 @ 115#still need to go lower, but considering a little help on the shoe front
solid Friday squat crew!
BS: 5x1 @ 165, 175, 185, 195, 195
GM: 3x10 @ 45, 65, 65
BS: 5x2 ascending to 165 - 10# PR!
GM: 3x10 @45, 55, 55
5x2 asc to 138#.
lifted with Amy and Nina who both got huge PRs - awesome!
BS: 5x2 - 143# (PR + 8)
GM: 3x10 - 45#
Back Squat: 5x2 - worked up to 245 (hit), 3x @ 255 (hit 1st, missed 2nd)
Disappointed I couldnt hit 255 twice but it was a PR for 1RM and I did it for 3 str8 sets
Good Mornings: took too long doing squats so only did 1 set with the bar
BS: 5x1 - 165, 185, 195, 205, 220# (PR +5)
Back Squats: 3 x 2 at 275# then I stopped because something's happening in my lower right back; twingy/sharp pain when coming back up, once the weight got above 225 or so.
Did a few reps at 135 after this with a pause at the bottom and good form and felt no pain. Today I'm feeling it though. Some kind of hopefully minor injury. Jaffney says to go see Dr. Mavor
if i wasn't hemmed up in the back i'd say i should have gone heavier than 275, thatis extremely movable weight.
i'm gonna get some rest
Sorry to hear about your back, Adam.
People who want to be/stay functional: "Do me a favor and go see Mavor!"
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh I'll be fine. I brought this on myself anyway :)
thanks to Jeff for reminding me it is okay to stop in the middle of a workout if something is not right; "the bar will always be there"
