BENCH PRESS5, 3, 1+if < 1 yr., 8, 5, 3+if < 6 mo. 10, 8, 5+
DUMBBELL BENCH PRESS3x15
SLED PULL10x25m +95/65#
Forgot to write on the board today!
Bench Press: 5, 3, 1+. Got 3 @ 85#.
Dumbbell BP: 3X15 @ 20#.
Sled pull: 65#. Stayed after and did 5 total.
BP: 85x5, 95x3, 110x5
BD BP: 30# db
got in 50m of sled pulls at 65# before we ran out of time.
Good morning today. But of course it was, it was a bench press day!
145x5, 170x3, 190x5. Time to up my base number for my percentages, I think.
DB assistance work at 40#. Seemed easy for the first round, but the last 5 reps on the subsequent rounds were tough.
Sled pulls were great! I think I might try to do these more often
Thanks to Adam and Nick for an exciting morning on the bench. We laughed, we cried, it was better than Cats.
BP: 215 x 6
DBB: (1) 50x15, (2) 60x15 (last set had to be broken up 11/4)
Sled Pull: Harder than it looked. Ran out of time on this.
It even beats your rendition of 'Memory'!
Bench press - 70x5, 80x3, 90x4
DB bench press - first two rounds with the 15s and third round with 20s
Sled pull - only got one round in. Debated doing the final rounds in my back yard when I had my dogs leashed up. Don't think their 15 pound bodies would have appreciated it though
OMG was just imagining dog-pulls in my head, not a pretty picture
Bench Press: 120x5, 135x3, 155x4. I may have gone a tad light, or I got stronger.
Dumbbell Bench: 40lb. This was not too hard, but maybe that was the point?
Sled pull: Only got in 3. There was a big crowd this morning!
Good showing 6am...even if it was a Coach Nick day...er, I mean...a Wednesday!
Bench Press: Worked with (meaning got shown up by) Nick A and James. Wow...is about all I can muster on their work. Worked the 8,5,3 rep scheme at 135#, 165#, and 185# (got to 7).
DB Bench Press: 1@40#, 2@50# (last set only got 13)
Sled Pull - we got through 3 during class, so I stayed after and finished the last 7. Whew...those catch up to quickly. And, is it bad that the only thing I could think of was how much fun my kids would have being the weights on the sled and being pulled by everyone? Maybe for the PM classes...
Oh, and thanks to Katie C and Hannah for the, um, interesting tip on kipping pull-ups! :-D
Oh yeah, Coach Nick told me to comment and say something nice about him...he has good timing for using random WWF catch phrases! (How's that Nick?)
haha Steph Adams gets credit for that tip :)
Have only made it to one bench press day so didn't have a clear number to go off of but think I guessed relatively close. 5@65, 3@75, 3@85
DB BP w/20# db's felt too easy the first set but the last few reps on the remaining sets told me staying flat w/weight was smart with that many reps
Sledpull: only time for 2, appreciated all the tips from people about getting lower and finding a rhythm. wanted to stay later to finish but the silly place called work wouldn't let me :-/ Hoping that it is more lenient tonight so I can hopefully make it to EWOD club
Working during every class today means that I did the WOD at the gym after job #1...
BP: 10@65#, 8@70#, 5@75# DB BP: 3x15@23#
No sled pulls at BSC, so I did 3RNFT: 15 situps/20 walking lunges (stepping through until I couldn't, which was usually just the last few reps) w/ 35# bar in FS rack position. I think my legs will be feeling those tomorrow :)
Courtney was too fast for me to be timing her, so take my times (~20 seconds) and subtract a bit ...
did 11 by 100 m with 2min rest. supposedly 75% but probably closer to 85-90%, ranging 19.5-20.5 seconds. thanks Colleen for letting me tag along at her pace!
You were making me do a little more than 75% pace!
EWOD - eight people tonight!
11 x 100m @75% 22-23s each.
Pre WOD Warm Up - 1700m - I like how this is coming along but will change strategies tomorrow by doing 5 x 250m instead and see how that plays out over the weeks.
Bench Press - 225lbs x 3 PR (225, 185, 165) - I don't think I've ever benched that much, let alone three times. The jump from 185 to 225 was surprising because of how good I felt afterwards.
Dumbbell Bench Press - 50lbs - Reps 10 through 15 became challenging on the second and the third set. Luckily I had Stephen play a little Lion King to get me motivated.
Sled Pull - 45lbs - Worked on alternating arms between pulls
Joined the Endurance Club last night and happy to learn that there are more people than Hannah, Raphael and Janet....
10x100m @ ~75% ... It is challenging for me to stick to a pace so my goal was really trying to stick around 20.5 (based on 16.2 for max effort)...Seemed to hit almost where I wanted, although Janet kept pushing me to go faster..
A final 100 with whatever was left over hit 17.1...
